OnSite Computers is a locally owned computer repair and IT services company in Middle River, Maryland.
For homes, that’s laptop and desktop repair, virus and malware removal, data recovery, upgrades, and managed antivirus — drop-off work at the shop on Wilson Point Road, with a flat-rate diagnostic and a phone call before anything else happens.
For businesses, it’s managed IT and cyber security: monitoring, patching, backups, Microsoft 365, and networks and Wi-Fi. One team that knows your systems and one number to call, instead of a different vendor for every problem.

Where we work
Maryland, and not much past it.
The shop is at 1012 Wilson Point Road in Middle River. Most of our work is across Baltimore County — Essex, White Marsh, Rosedale, Dundalk, Perry Hall, Towson — and we travel out through Harford, Cecil, and Anne Arundel counties for business clients. We work throughout Maryland but don’t cross state lines.
Drop-off work comes from anywhere. Pickup and delivery is available if getting here is the problem.
How the shop started
A side project that outgrew the kitchen table.
OnSite Computers was founded by Jerry Robey. He spent seven years in the Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic, then close to three decades with the Maryland State Police — the first eighteen still turning wrenches on helicopters, the last eight in the department’s IT division, after a hobby that started around 1985 turned into a second career.
Colleagues kept asking him to look at their home computers. In 2002 he started taking that work on properly, and by 2004 it had outgrown the side-gig stage. He opened a small shop at the back of the Stansbury Shopping Center in Middle River — then kept his state job for another four years, arriving at the shop around 4pm to put in another four or five hours.
“I thought I was just going to assist people with fixing computers. Just the little old guy in the shop fixing computers. I thought that was going to be the extent of it.”
His wife Michelle ran the front of the house through those early years: intake, phones, explaining repairs to customers, and enough troubleshooting to brief Jerry on what had come in. By his own account, the business would not have grown without her.
He retired from the state police in 2008 and went full-time. The shop outgrew its space twice — moving to the front of the shopping center in 2010, and to its current Wilson Point Road location in 2014. In June 2024 it passed twenty years in business.
Lee joined the shop in 2020, five months after moving from the UK to Maryland to be with his wife. He had been working in IT since 2008, starting as the in-house technician at Northumberland Estates in Alnwick, in the north of England — looking after the estate’s offices, staff, and systems until he left for the States.
Jerry retired on December 31, 2025, after more than twenty years behind the bench. Lee took over as owner and carried on where he left off.
What hasn’t changed is the part that matters: the same storefront on Wilson Point Road, the same walk-ins, the same flat-rate diagnostic, and the same phone call before any work starts.
